The Oncology Department is a key construction discipline of the hospital. The Oncology Department has been built with a high starting point, high quality and high level concept, and has been guided and assisted by well-known oncologists from the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School Of Medicine. With strong department strength and advanced equipment, the hospital is introducing international advanced linear accelerator, large-caliber simulated positioning CT, PET-CT, etc., and plans to build a proton therapy center in Zhejiang Province to create a Cancer Center in central and western Zhejiang. In the department, there are 1 senior title, 1 associate senior title, 4 intermediate titles, 5 junior titles, 3 master supervisors, 4 doctoral students and 7 master students. In the past three years, the department has successfully applied for and presided over a number of national, provincial, department and bureau level scientific research projects, mainly involving digestive cancer, breast cancer and other fields, and published a number of SCI papers. Doctors in the department have been engaged in clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research and teaching for a long time and have rich clinical experience. The department carries out standardized and individualized diagnosis and treatment of various cancers, and works with experts from relevant departments to carry out MDT multidisciplinary team cooperation diagnosis and treatment for different cancer diseases, so as to provide the most cutting-edge technology and optimal diagnosis and treatment services for cancer patients.

The department is presided over by Dr. Professor Li Dezhi from West China Hospital of Sichuan University. In addition, there are many domestic well-known oncologists from the Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University for consultation, ward rounds, consultation and case discussion. They have strong technical force, advanced service concept, and treatment methods, and the diagnosis and treatment plans closely follow the international and domestic frontier. At present, the department has routinely carried out various comprehensive cancer treatment methods under the guidance of precise genetic testing, such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, endocrine therapy, hospice care, multi-dimensional whole-course management of cancer patients and various symptomatic supportive therapy, etc. The department also undertakes the national clinical research of new drugs and the work of Yiwu Tumor Disease Quality Control Center.
