Hematology department became an independent unit in hospital in October, 2014.Through exploration and practice of near 10 years, the department has developed into a general hematology department which has initially built up a talent echelon. Now, the department is authorized as the base for master degree,staffed by 29 people, including 1 chief physician,1 associate chief physician,4 attending physicians, and 5 residents(all with master degree or above).
There are 32 beds and 3 air layer flow beds in the ward of our department. We not only have outpatient services each day, but can carry out the marrow cell morphology, the marrow pathology, the hematolysis target and so on. We grasp the technology of hematopoietic stem cell separation, plasma exchange, red blood cells removal, white blood cells removal, platelet removal and so on; We can carry out the stage and type diagnosis and differential diagnosis for hematologic malignancies (leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, myelodysplastic syndrome, etc.) with technical means, such as cellular immunology, chromosome analysis, advanced molecular biotechnology, immunofixation electrophoresis, etc. Simultaneously，we treat blood diseases with the means of chemotherapy, immunotherapy and so on.
Treatments and Services：All kinds of anemia such as Iron deficiency anemia，aplastic anemia; pancytopenia，hemolytic anemia; agranulocytosis；myelodysplastic syndromes；All kinds of leukemia such as Acute or chronic lymphocytic leukemia，acute myeloid leukemia，chronic granulocytic leukemia; lymphoma；Plasma cell dyscrasias such as multiple myeloma；malignant histiocytosis；Myeloproliferative Neoplasms such as polycythemia vera，essential thrombocythemia；hemorrhagic disorders such as Idiopathic Thrombocytopenia，hemophilia；thrombotic diseases.
Development plan: we intend to carry out stem cell collection, cryopreservation and recovery and transplantation in the near future.
The trinity of medical treatment, teaching and research is the development direction of Hematology. With superb skills, good medical ethics, service for patients whole-heartedly is the purpose of all the staff of the department of hematology.
