The Department of Cardiology, the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, was founded in 2014. With the mission of relieving cardiovascular diseases and promoting regional academic development for the people in central Zhejiang, Make every effort to govern and strive for strength, After years of efforts, it has become an influential cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment center in central Zhejiang region, a national chest pain center, heart failure center, atrial fibrillation center and hypertension center, and doctoral and master's degrees awarding points of the Belt and Road International School of Medicine, include Jinhua Medical Key Specialty, Yiwu Heart Intervention Quality Control Center, etc. Currently, there are 91 beds in 2 wards, with over 5000 patients admitted annually. This discipline has an excellent talent team, with 100% holding a master's degree or above, and the vast majority graduating from 211 universities. Many backbone students have overseas study experience. At present, there are a total of 19 physicians, including 5 chief physicians, 5 deputy chief physicians, 3 doctoral supervisors, and 3 master's supervisors. Currently, we have undertaken 5 national and provincial-level research projects with a funding of over one million yuan. We have hosted 1-2 national or provincial-level academic conferences per year and have published over 20 papers in international core journals in the past 3 years.
Interventional diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular diseases is a unique advantage area of our department. Currently, our department has 2 independent catheterization rooms, equipped with the most advanced digital subtraction angiography machine (Philips Azurion 7M12), cardiac three-dimensional mapping system (CARTO3), multi conductive physiological system (Bard Labsystem PRO), intracardiac ultrasound system (ICE), and intravascular ultrasound system (IVUS), Coronary blood flow reserve fraction detection system (FFR) and other equipment. At present, comprehensive coronary angiography, intracoronary balloon dilation, coronary stent implantation, radiofrequency ablation of various arrhythmias, left atrial appendage occlusion, pacemaker implantation, implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implantation, cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRTP/D), congenital heart disease occlusion, percutaneous aortic valve replacement (TAVR), ultrasound guided percutaneous myocardial septal ablation have been carried out Excimer laser intracoronary plaque ablation and other cardiac intervention surgeries are the most comprehensive cardiac center in central Zhejiang Province to carry out interventional diagnosis and treatment projects. Currently, nearly 3000 cases of various interventional surgeries are completed annually. At the same time, our department has the strongest electrophysiological team in the central Zhejiang region, and has taken the lead in conducting atrial fibrillation cryoablation, AI guided atrial fibrillation ablation, ICE guided "zero ray" atrial fibrillation ablation, and ICE guided left atrial appendage occlusion in the central Zhejiang region, filling the regional gap.
