The gastroenterology department is a key discipline of the Fourth Hospital of Zhejiang University and a key discipline of Yiwu City. It is a member of the digestive Specialist Alliance of Zhejiang Province, a designated medical institution of the National Colorectal polyp Management project, a member of the ERCP Specialist Alliance, a provincial demonstration center for standardized diagnosis and treatment of Esophageal Diseases, and a standardized diagnosis and treatment clinic for H. pylori, and a regional center for the treatment of dangerous Upper Gastrointestinal Bleeding.
The gastroenterology department has a reasonable composition of talents. There are 3 chief physicians, 2 deputy chief physicians, 8 attending physicians and 12 resident physicians. Now we have numerous advanced medical equipment, like Olympus290, Fujifilm host and endoscope, gastrointestinal treatment endoscopes, endoscopic ultrasound, duodenoscope, ERCP X-ray machine and SpyGlass biliary duct primary and secondary mirror system, Haibo knife system, manoscan gastrointestinal dynamic test system and so on. Our department has strong medical technical force. We are good at the diagnosis and treatment of difficult diseases of digestive tract, acute and critical digestive system, gastrointestinal benign lesions and early tumors, biliary and pancreatic diseases,and the gastroesophageal motility monitoring and PH monitoring.
Our main research interests include: medical diagnosis and treatment of acute and critical digestive system, dynamic examination and molecular mechanism study of gastroesophageal reflux disease, clinical and basic research of early gastrointestinal cancer, diagnosis and treatment of biliary and pancreatic system diseases, standardized diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory bowel disease, standardized diagnosis and treatment of Helicobacter pylori.
At present, we have undertaken 6 National and Zhejiang provincial projects, hosted National and Provincial academic conferences 1~2 times/year, and published more than 10 academic papers in international and core journals.
