The Respiratory Medicine Center/Lung Cancer Center of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine (Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department) is a comprehensive diagnosis and treatment center integrating medicine, teaching and research. It is also the Lung Nodule Diagnosis and Treatment Center of the Chinese Lung Cancer Prevention and Treatment Alliance, the standardized diagnosis and treatment demonstration base of lung cancer of the Lung Cancer Special Committee of the Chinese Medical Education Association, the drug clinical trial institution, the excellent unit of National Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine (PCCM) Standardization Construction project as well as the PCCM specialist standardized training (specialized) base, the excellent unit of National interstitial Lung Disease Standardized Diagnosis and Treatment Center Construction project, Chinese Medical Doctor Association "Humanistic Love Department", the deputy chairman unit of the Respiratory branch of Zhejiang Medical Association, and the next chairman unit of Zhejiang Anti-cancer Association lung cancer professional committee. The center has 1 doctoral supervisor, 2 master supervisors, 5 chief physicians and 3 associate chief physicians. The center has 128 beds, including 120 beds in respiratory cancer ward, respiratory infection comprehensive ward, clinical research ward, and 8 beds in respiratory critical care and treatment ward (RICU). It has first-class equipment such as digital respiratory intervention operating room, CT, and magnetic navigation tracheoscope. The center is characterized by lung cancer, infection, respiratory intervention, respiratory critical illness and difficult disease treatment, and is a medical center with standardized, specialized and information-based diagnosis, treatment and management of respiratory diseases.
At present, the center is in charge of 2 national major projects on new drug development, 2 national key research and development projects, 4 National Natural Science Foundations, 1 Zhejiang Outstanding Youth Fund, and 2 Zhejiang major science and technology projects. The center leads a number of national multi-center clinical studies on the development of special lung cancer targeted drugs. Members of the center have published more than 40 high-level SCI papers, participated in the formulation of 10 guidelines and consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of lung cancer and interstitial lung diseases.
