It is also the designated hospital for traffic accident trauma treatment in Yiwu City.
The Emergency Department of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine has complete functional units, strong technical capabilities and advanced medical equipment. In addition to routine organ function monitoring technology and support measures, the department can skillfully carry out a variety of new technologies, such as ECMO technology (extracorporeal membrane oxygenation) and resuscitative endovascular balloon occlusion of aorta (REBOA). All kinds of blood purification technology, PICCO monitoring, bedside fiberoptic bronchoscopy, mild hypothermia technology, bedside B-ultrasound examination, mechanical ventilation technology, percutaneous tracheotomy, etc. The emergency department of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine adopts intelligent pre-examination system for rapid triage of patients to ensure timely and effective medical services.The emergency medical team is fully responsible for implementing a series of medical activities such as emergency patient rescue,hospitalization, surgical arrangements, consultation, and follow-up after discharge.
The emergency department of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine is the national standard version certification unit of China Chest Pain Center, the Chinese Stroke Prevention and Treatment Center, the member unit of China Trauma Treatment Alliance and Zhejiang Trauma Treatment Alliance, the regional center for the treatment of dangerous upper gastrointestinal bleeding, the Comprehensive health Emergency support base (poisoning), the member unit of China Air Emergency Hospital Alliance, and the center for treating aortic dissection. The first phase of the emergency department covers area of more than 3,000 square meters and has established a perfect emergency diagnosis and treatment area and process, divided into A, B, and C zones, including 13 rescue beds, 20 observation wards, and 10 emergency care units. There are more than 150 emergency medical staff, with an annual total of more than 150,000 emergency patients and over 12,000 critically ill patients treated. In the past five years, the department has successfully declared 7 projects at the bureau level, published more than 10 SCI papers, and applied for 6 utility model patents.
In terms of teaching,the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine carries out online and offline blended teaching in the application of new nurse pre-hospital training programs,and the application of online teaching in improving the comprehensive emergency response ability of pre-hospital emergency medical personnel and other projects.It also conducts the MOOC courses of Zhejiang University such as "Basic Knowledge of Emergency Nursing" and "Operation Technology of Emergency Clinical Skills".
