In May 2018, the Fourth Clinical College of Medicine was added as a cooperative unit of the national standardized training base for resident doctors. The three professional bases of internal medicine, surgery and obstetrics and gynecology began to enroll students in August 2018. In December 2020, the third batch of national standardized training bases for resident doctors was approved, and there are 11 professional bases.
The leading group for standardized training of resident doctors implements the two-leader system of Party secretary and president of the hospital to comprehensively organize and coordinate standardized training of resident doctors. Since the establishment of the hospital, the enrollment scale of residential training students has been expanding, and from 2018 to 2023, 22, 30, 64, 88, 80 and 87 students have been enrolled respectively, among which the completion rate of recruitment tasks in short supply specialties such as general medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, and anesthesiology has reached 100%. In 2021, 100% of residential trainees will pass the medical practitioner qualification examination for the first time; In 2021, the passing rate of the first batch of residential trainees to participate in the completion assessment was 96.6%, of which 100% passed the completion assessment of internal medicine and obstetrics and gynecology professional bases. The Fourth Clinical Medical College carries out continuing medical education according to the requirements of superiors, organizes and carries out multi-level and multi-form continuing medical education activities, builds the academic brand of Zilongshan International Academic Week, undertakes the number of national and provincial continuing projects and the number of trained personnel increases year by year. As of December 2023, a total of 176 provincial continuation projects and 124 national continuation projects have been undertaken.
The Fourth Clinical Medical College has a total teaching area of 2800 square meters, including 36 clinical demonstration classrooms (covering each ward), 4 multimedia classrooms (including 1 distance teaching classroom) and 8 teaching rooms. Since its establishment, the Fourth Clinical College of Medicine has successively carried out teaching activities such as CBL teaching, medical simulation teaching, flipped classroom and Mini-CEX to promote the continuous improvement of clinical teaching level.
