Profile: Dr. Xia Shudong, Chief Physician, Doctoral Supervisor, Head of Cardiology Department of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine and the Internal Medicine Teaching Base. In 2003, I completed Clinical Medicine degree followed by attainment of a doctoral degree from Peking Union Medical College. With over a decade's experience of clinical practice in the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine, I was promoted to Associate Chief Physician in 2009. In September 2014, I was assumed the role of Executive Director in the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. I gained my Master's Supervisor qualification in 2015 and became a Chief Physician in 2016, followed by becoming a Doctoral Supervisor in 2020. Proficient in procedures like pacemaker implantation and radiofrequency ablation for diverse cardiac arrhythmias, I also could independently handles interventions such as coronary stent implantation and congenital heart defects closure. I has led numerous national and provincial research projects and has published over 20 papers in SCI journals. I am a member of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Association, a member of the Electrophysiology and Pacing Branch of the Zhejiang Medical Association, and a standing committee member of the Cardiovascular Branch of the Zhejiang Physicians Association.
